Hubby and I celebrated our 6th anniversary last Christmas Eve. Ayay! I thought we just got married a year ago..lol! Thanks a lot hon for being there all the time.
Thank you so much for loving me. For listening to my concerns and working to make our marriage better. For putting up with my moods when I’m dealing with issues. There will always be times when we’re not getting along. That is part of life and God’s plan, but we’ve made it through the stretch that can be the hardest, and now here we are. We made it! Thanks for putting up with your fickle-minded wife. I love you with all my heart!
Thanks for the card and for the lovely gift. I got him a Levi's wallet.

Unwrapping Christmas Presents

How's your Christmas celebration everyone? I hope you had a wonderful one. It was our first Christmas celebration here in TX. It's quite different from where we used to celebrate the holidays in California. I miss the Dias tradition. Well it's time to face the fact that we are no longer living in California.
We opened our Christmas presents after brunch. Our plan was to open the presents at midnight but since we came home super late from our Anniversary dinner, we decided to do it on Christmas day.
picture picture before opening the presents.....
I got my ideapad! Thanks a bunch hon for this awesome gift!
One of Akesha's presents....:)
Hubby got a wireless keyboard for our TV....it's for his ongoing project!
The dino girl...some girls wants dolls or barbies for Christmas, but not for my little girl! She will pick animal toys over dolls. Trust me!

This is my entry for this week's Blue Monday.

Asbestos Survey

If you are trying to find better ways to take care of your home, you should consider having an asbestos survey conducted. This is where a trained asbestos surveyor will perform and inspection on your home looking to see if they can find any asbestos fibers. Asbestos can be very dangerous and that is why you have to make sure all of your roof sheets, plaster board, pipe lagging, floor tiles, roof tiles, toilet cisterns, bitumen adhesive and Artex are all clear of asbestos. All of these items have contained asbestos up until around 1990. This becomes even more important if your home was built before 1990. There are many organizations who can inspect your home, but the best way to do it is to find an ISO 17020 accredited asbestos surveying company to do it for you. The ISO 17020 is the international standard for inspection bodies and sometimes referred to as the UKAS accredited. The company will need to operate under the MDHS100 which is the UK asbestos surveying guidelines. In the UK, it is the law to have this inspection for a business, but it isn't the law for a home. However, homeowners should be aware that it would be a good idea for them to get it too. You should visit the asbestos website to find out about getting an asbestos survey so you can be sure your home is save from asbestos. You don't want to wait until it is to late to get your survey completed.

FIL 90th Birthday Celebration

Last Sunday was my FIL's 90th birthday. We had a grand celebration during his special day. I believed there are over 150 guests who came to his party. Some of them came from other states including us. It was great seeing some of the Dias clan once again.
Dad's awesome cake made by our pretty niece Clara.
Everything is edible except the 90 candle. The cake's flavor are vanilla and chocolate.
Hope to see you on Easter dad!

I was going to wear my red sandal that I bought online, but one of the rhinestone fell off....nyahahah!
I'm glad I brought a spare of shoes with me.
Some of the Dias Children....
Some of the grandkids....
And some of the in-laws.....

Baby Formula: Store Brand or Name Brand

This post brought to you by PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.
If you are tired of paying extra money purchasing brand name formulas, you should checkout the website dedicated to store brand formula. This website will explain to you why store brand formulas are cheaper than named brand formulas. When you purchase a named brand, you end up paying more just because it is a named brand. The reality is that store brand formulas are the nutritional equivalent to name brand formulas. This website will allow you to read many stories such as the Similac recall issue. This formula was recalled because of the possibility of the presence of a small common beetle that was discovered in the product last month. They have many other important articles that you might want to read such as the Alabama School for the Hearing, Dairy may help prevent diabetes, and Mark Wahlberg's 'Fighter' workout took 4 years to build boxer body. All of these articles are educational such like the articles about store formulas vs brand formulas. So what are you waiting for? If you are looking for many exciting articles, you should visit examiner.com and search through their many articles. They have many different categories such as entertainment, sport & recreation, family & home, lifestyle and health & beauty.

We're Home At Last!

It feels great to be home! We arrived home yesterday at 7pm to an absolute great weather here in Texas. It took us long to get home because we picked up Buddy from the Pet Resort. Actually we arrived at the airport around 4:45pm.
Our one week vacation is over. It was a short trip but it's all worth it. We had an amazing time in California. It's funny because I never miss California that much, and I lived there for 5 years. When I was there, I felt like I can't wait to go back to Texas. We're home at last!

Anyhow, thanks for dropping by guys! I'm looking forward to blog hop today. Will see you then. Happy Holidays!!!

Greg's Birthday Celebration

Yesterday was hubby's 44th birthday.Yep, now he's officially 44 years old...lol! It was our first time celebrating his birthday away from home. I'm saying it because we are temporarily living in a hotel. I usually bake a cake for him on his birthday.

He thought Akesha and I will not get him anything, but he was wrong! We surprised him yesterday. Akesha and I managed to walk a half a mile just to get to the store. It was freezing cold while walking down the street, and people are looking at us! Maybe they thought we were homeless...lol! So for his birthday celebration, we went to eat at Sizzler. We had a great time!

Hectic Schedule

I've been on and off from blogging lately. My schedule is even more hectic these days. I hope you guys understand. I truly appreciate all your visits and comments.
Last Tuesday I started cleaning our apartment, and then today I vacuumed and steamed the carpet. I was exhausted! I wish I live in the Philippines, I could afford to hire a few people to do the job for me, but this is America. So do what you gotta do!...lol! We want to make the whole space spotless so we can get our full down payment back. Alleluia! Now the whole place looks immaculate!
My darling daughter took a picture of me while steaming the carpet...thanks anak! She was bored the whole day, glad she brought her laptop. I'm happy because I don't need to come back and clean the apartment. My next mission will be UNPACKING!

Our 2010 X'mas Tree

Our tree is up! Finally! I was afraid to not have a Christmas tree this year because we don't have a room for our tree in our apartment, but God is good! He helped us find a new place to live, a place we call HOME.
We are moving out tomorrow! And we are so excited about it. Right now, I am juggling between packing and blogging...lol! I hope to finish packing today because we have movers coming by tomorrow to pick up our stuff. I also need to finish my laundry....I need HELPPPPPP!
Here's the little miss! My smiley helper who works diligently on hanging the ornaments. Our tree is finally up at our new abode.

Turkey Run

Have you ever heard of turkey run before? I have absolutely no idea what turkey run is not until my BIL invited us to join and run with them. It is a great way to kick off the Thanksgiving Holiday and also for a good cause to stay healthy and have fun. The Turkey Run Loop is only about one mile, so it was not that bad.
The kids went first and then the adults....here's Akesha (the one in the middle), her cousin Breanna (wearing a black shirt) and the rest of the kids.
Akesha and I were left behind...she was wearing her boots that's why she can't run well, and she got some blisters a few hours after...I felt bad for her. I'm glad my SIL lend her shorts and sneakers...thanks Kell!
After the kids reached the finish line, they all went back and rescued Akesha. I thought that was so sweet! Akesha won the last place!...lol...it was a great experience!

Post Thanksgiving Getaway

My BIL and his family lives in a nice and upscale neighborhood off Granburry, near the lake. I really like living there, away from the city, very private and peaceful. The thing is...we can't afford to live that kind of lifestyle. I am contented of what we have right now.
We supposed to leave and drive back to San Antonio the day after Thanksgiving, but my BIL insisted that we should stay an extra day. And so we did!
The weather was great during that day, so we went on a boat and then we went fishing. We did not caught any fish...we tried but no luck! weeeeeeee!
This is my entry for this week's Watery Wednesday.
